I am Buraot changed its layout with the start of the new year, 2010. New year, new look, new feel. I have been a frequenter of the site not only because of The Entredropper, but because the blog posts are engaging as well – from the author’s life’s perspective to how he sees the world to the universe. For sure, you’ll be able to relate to him in every aspect. Yes, the person behind I am Buraot is a man. A man of great depth.

His past layout was Batman inspired. The background is black, the texts are yellow and white. Although readers would want to stay more, they’d find themselves sleepy in the middle of a long article because of the dark atmosphere. I’m glad he changed the color scheme but still retained the tone.

It’s more straightforward now that it only has one sidebar located on the right, wherein the previous layout had 3 columns – sidebars on both sides left and right and the blogpost in the middle. How I wish I could’ve taken a screenshot of the previous one. Anyway, I’m liking the current feel. The header has wavy lines which reminds me of the Philippine flag. That symbolizes how patriotic the owner of the blog is aside from his posts regarding Philippine politics and culture.

You can tell that it’s a successful blog from the comments he receives and the actual conversation between him and his readers. Its pagerank leaped to PR4, when last year it was only 3, not to mention his habitual sponsoring of blog contests.

His choice of the background songs always make me feel sad, lonely, and relaxed all at the same time. This feature gives another serious tone for the whole feel of the blog.
