Some people choose to write for other companies who had their own websites. Before I learned monetizing my blog, I was also writing reviews for Ciao.com and was able to earn about $50 from them. But the problem that I encounter with working for other sites is that I don’t have that much tenure with regards to how long that site’s gonna be up or like in most cases, if the country where I am residing to would be banned from working for them.
Google Adsense is one of the popular ways of earning from your website or blog. This is also the reason why my boyfriend asked me to make a blog so he can set up his adsense in it. We used to have a website (a job site) where we earned $400 monthly. But the registrar didn’t want us to renew the domain. Maybe they wanted to put it up for auction. So that’s another reason why I bought my own domain for 2 years and with a trusted site.
After 3 months (or 90 days) my blog has been approved in Blogsvertise. My blogger friends didn’t receive any assignments from it yet, so although I was not sure they would pay me, I still wrote for them. I thought, well at least my blog has a new content.
My point here is that, I spend most of time writing for my blog as an investment for future advertisers and sponsorships. Advertisers want a blog with lots of original content and one way to do that is to just keep posting daily and not only write for compensation. I mean, because of these contents in my blog, although personal, google takes it up as fresh content and won’t be penalized for having paid posts in it.
I still write for other sites like Mylot (active income) and Bukisa (passive income). But since I get more tasks from my blog, I prioritize it first. Besides, it’s all I’ve got. No time wasted writing for your own blog/website. Hopefully, my domain registrar wont’ take away my domain from me. ^^
